Smarter material choices
We can help compare durable, lower-impact flooring options based on the room and how it will be used.
Our approach is simple: avoid unnecessary waste, choose lower-impact options when practical, extend the life of existing floors when possible, and leave the site clean.

Careful measuring and layout can reduce offcuts, while usable materials may be retained where practical.
Where a repair or re-stretch makes sense, we look at extending the life of the existing floor instead of replacing it automatically.
Old flooring, prep debris and packaging are handled as part of the project so your new space is ready to use.
A floor that performs for years doesn't need to be replaced as often. We focus on proper subfloor preparation, correct installation and materials suited to the space.
Ask about eco-conscious optionsThe glues, underlay and finishes we use give off very little of the fumes that make a new floor smell for days. The laminate and engineered boards we install are made without the harsh chemicals that older products used. You can sleep in the room the same night.
Our hardwood comes from mills that replant what they cut and can show where the wood came from. Where it suits the room, we use Canadian maple, oak and ash, so the boards don't travel across the world to get to your house.
Many carpets we offer are made from old plastic bottles and recovered nylon, and the underpad beneath them is made from recycled foam. It feels and wears the same as regular carpet; it just uses far less new plastic.
If you'd rather not have a plastic floor at all, cork and linoleum are the natural options. Cork is tree bark that grows back after harvest. Real linoleum is made from linseed oil, wood dust and jute. Both are warm underfoot and resist mould on their own.
Whether it's a full home or a single room, the same principle applies: durable, natural materials and careful installation go further and waste less. Good flooring choices are part of building smaller, better and with less impact.
